1. AMAZON SMILE
    • Are you like so many and purchase things off of ecommerce giant Amazon? Many people are not informed that Amazon has a program in place where you can donate .5% of all purchases to the charity of your choice. The program is called Amazon Smile and is the exact same as “normal” Amazon! Give it a try here and use your everyday shopping for good!
  2. DONATE YOUR BIRTHDAY
    • Facebook Fundraising has increased the ability to use your birthday, anniversary, racing event, or any other day as a fundraising innovative for your favorite charity. Just think if everyone raised $25 for their birthday. That would roughly provide $7.5B to non-profits seeking to make a difference in the world! We have even created a short video walking you through the steps to organize this here
  3. EMPLOYER GIFT MATCHING
    • Does your employer offer a matching gift? Does your employer offer volunteer matching? It could be worth checking your employee manual or asking fellow colleagues to see if there is a giving match your employer provides. Many programs offer a $1 for $1 match up to certain thresholds. Furthermore, a new program many companies have implemented is providing additional funding to non-profits you volunteer. For instance, you give 10 hours a year to the Ronald McDonald House. Many company policies will then provide $100 or $250 to the Ronald McDonald House for your volunteer hours.
  4. ORGANIZE A CHARITY DONATION DRIVE
    • Charity drives have been around forever. However, there is a reason as it allows many people the opportunity to get out in the community that otherwise might not be able to. One important aspect to these charity donation drives is the marketing aspect. To ensure success recruit a cohort of people that can unite to see the initiative become a success! Also, consider leveraging social media to help you spread the word to a broader audience.
